After two day’s business, Kashmir shuts again

After two day’s business, the normal life was affected yet again in Kashmir Valley due to separatist leadership sponsored shutdown on Monday.The impact of strike was visible in every part of Kashmir Valley. Almost all the shops and business establishment were shut while there was lesser movement of traffic on the roads. However, few public transport vehicles were seen plying in some areas in the civil lines as well as in the outskirts of the city.As usual vendors were seen doing business either on the footpaths or on roads across Srinagar city.Reports of complete shutdown were received from South and North Kashmir while Ganderbal and Budgam districts in Central Kashmir too observed strike. As many as 96 people, including two police personnel, have been killed and several thousand others injured in the unrest that started after the killing of Hizb commander Burhan Wani on 8 July this year.
