District Development Commissioner, Altaf Ahmad today chaired 57th District Consultative Committee/District Level Review Committee (DCC/DLRC) meeting.MLC, Saif u din, who was also present in the meeting, stressed upon the line departments and sponsoring agencies to conduct awareness camps in rural areas to make people aware about different Government sponsored schemes so that maximum benefit reaches at ground.On the occasion, the District Development Commissioner appreciated the role of banks during the present situation and stressed upon both banks and line agencies to work hard to achieve the targets of current fiscal. He also urged upon the concerned departments and financial institutions to work with added zeal for overall development of the district so that unemployed educated youths of the district are benefitted.
Earlier, the Lead District Manager informed the meeting that the total deposits in district have increased from Rs. 1560.35 Crore to Rs. 1784.71 crore on yearly basis and the total advances in the district have increased from Rs. 1243.09 Crore to Rs. 1345.86 Crore. Lead District Manager informed the meeting that at the end of September 2016, District Budgam has disbursed Rs 74.37 crore registering a growth of Rs 14.73% under priority sector and Rs 89.15 crore have been disbursed against Rs 155.22 crore registering a growth of 57.44%. He also said that Rs 1.79 crore have been disbursed among 145 beneficiaries of the district under income generating schemes. He also briefed the the meeting about various schemes like JANDHAN YOJANA, APY, PMJJY, PMSBY, MUDRA and Standup India.Among others, the meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, AGM RBI, representatives from SBI, EDB, HDFC, SCB, ICICI, PNB, RSETI and NABARD.
