The 69th Annual Nirankari Sant Samagam, devoted to humanness, kick-started here today at the outstretched Samagam ground opposite Nirankari Sarovar Complex at Burari Road. The 3-day long Samagam will see lakhs of devotees from around the world immersed in the feelings of love, faith and devotion. The event is a practical display of the philosophy of the Mission to establish universal brotherhood while adopting the principles of humanity. The first day saw the overwhelmed disciples seeking blessings as Nirankari Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj arrived at the venue. Thereafter, Members of the Samagam Committee and other leading organisers as well as Pracharaks of the Mission from India and abroad led Her Holiness in a procession up to the dais on a flower-bedecked open vehicle. The Samagam is being presided over by Her Holiness as the spiritual Head of the Sant Nirankari Mission for the first time. The Samagam has been dedicated to the loving memory of the former head of the Mission, Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj who merged into his eternal abode on May 13 this year. Accordingly, the theme given to the Samagam is ‘A Tribute to Humanness’. The idea is to highlight Baba Ji’s glorious contribution to spread the message of the Mission in general and Humanness in particular.
