District Development Commissioner, Sheetal Nanda, today held public meetings in  village  Chak Medhu and Upper Dhrui in Samba and Nud blocks to take stock of grievances and demands of the people . Responding to the demands projected by the people,  the  DDC directed   for starting necessary works of repair and improvement of water supply infrastructure to augment the service in the area. She asked Executive Engineer PHE to keep the   villagers  informed regarding timings of water supply. Later, various deputations from different villages called on the DC and raised their grievances regarding ration distribution and issuance of new ration cards. The DDC said that due care is being taken in segregation of residents in PHH, NPHH and exclusion categories and any aggrieved individual can approach ADDC Samba regarding the same. He also asked public to contact at Toll Free number 1800-180-7063 on every Sunday between 11 am to 1 pm to register their grievances.The DDC was accompanied by Tehsildar Vijaypur Iqbal Singh and Tehsildar Samba R.K Rathore besides other officers.
