DDC visits remote areas, emphasizes prompt redress of public grievances

District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Harun Malik, today conducted an extensive tour of remote areas of block  Sathra including Jandrola, Gali Pindi and  Gali Nag to assess the progress of ongoing developmental works besides assessing availability of basic amenities for the people.During the tour, the DDC convened a public grievances redress camp at Gali Pindi wherein the locals put forth their grievances and demands related to power supply, potable water, improving condition of roads, ration supply and other related issues.DDC asked the functionaries of different departments to be proactive and honest in prompt redressal of the public grievances and work in tandem to improve the public service delivery mechanism on ground. He asked the   concerned officers to reach out to the people and keep them abreast about the welfare schemes so that they can avail maximum benefits from these.Tehsildar Mandi, BDO Sathra, Executive Engineers of PHE, PWD and PDD besides others officers accompanied the DDC.
