A 4-day training workshop organized by Indian Red Cross Society J&K in coordination with District Administration Baramulla concluded today at Baramulla. The programme was aimed at first aid and first response during emergencies and disasters. On the occasion, experts demonstrated various techniques regarding first aid and first response during emergencies and disasters before the volunteers who took part in the training programme.General Secretary Red Cross Society, Mohd Shafi Rather highlighted the need and importance of conducting such workshops. He stressed on the need to utilize the potential of youth in serving the mankind especially during disasters. Other speakers also underscored the significance of volunteer service towards human welfare and said that such workshops will encourage the youth to take participation in volunteer services which will help in saving precious lives during any eventuality.
