In absence of any mobile tower in Gund Jahangir area of Sumbal Sonawari tehsil of North Kashmir’s Banidpora district, all the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL)  subscribers have been suffering from past two years. The subscribers alleged that despite repeatedly bringing the problem of poor connectivity into the notice of BSNL authorities, no action was taken to give a respite to the fuming subscribers. From past two years, the locals of Gund Jahangir said they have been requesting the BSNL authorities to erect a tower in the area but all their requests have gone to deaf ears. They alleged that due to poor landline and mobile and services of the BSNL, people are suffering. The concerned authorities are least bothered about the plight of the consumers while inflated bills are served to them every month. The residents of Hajin and Sonawari also complained of the same problem.
