Union minister and Punjab BJP president, Vijay Sampla today took a stock of preparations for the state-level Booth Workers’ Conference slated to be held in Jalandhar on November 20. The state party chief discussed the preparedness with the party’s constituency incharges, district and block presidents and Morcha chiefs via an audio conference. BJP national president, Amit Shah is scheduled to attend the conference and will be addressing the booth workers. Sampla also asked his party leaders to arrange refreshments for people who are coming to banks to make deposits or to exchange their currencies and ensure that they face no problems. He also lauded the BJP activists for carrying out such social works in various cities.Congratulating CM Parkash Singh Badal and his entire cabinet for taking a tough stand on the SYL issue, Sampla said, “With this masterstroke, the Akali-BJP government has pushed the Opposition back against the wall. For the interests of the state, the stand of the Akali-BJP combine is very clear and this viewpoint would be passed onto the grass-roots level”.Besides Shah, the state party leadership along with BJP national organizational secretary Ram Lal and Punjab BJP poll incharge Narendra Singh Tomar will attend the state-level Booth Workers’ Conference which would be held at Dussera ground, Guru Gobind Singh Avenue, Jalandhar on November 20.
