While continuing its indefinite “Morcha” on the second consecutive days on the issue of Sutlej Yamuna Link (SYL) Canal issue at Kapuri village (Origin of SYL Canal), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today claimed that again CM Badal was trying to make fool of people by writing a letter on SYL issue to President of India.“Rather than writing letter to President of India,  Badal should have talked to Prime Minister Narindra Modi, as president work on the advice of Council of ministers” said AAP leaders.“Why Badal shies away by raking up the issue of SYL Canal in strong manner with Prime Minister and make him understand the ground situation of availability of water in Punjab”, they added.SAD is an oldest partner of NDA and if he (Badal) fails to get justice from NDA led by BJP, what was point for him to continue in NDA, In-charge of Patiala Zone of AAP, Dr Balbir Singh said.If he cannot protect the rights of Punjab, Badal has no moral right to continue as Chief Minister and he should immediately resign or sever his political ties with saffron party, which has betrayed Punjab, AAP leader Gulshan Chhabra said.

As per media reports against panel of 40 lawyers of Haryana, single lawyer from Punjab fought the case, this shows Punjab government sincerity, Chhabra said while accusing Badals for deliberately weakening the Punjab’s point of view in the court.“Badal must explain why he did not hire the top lawyers of the country to contest Punjab case in the Supreme Court”, he added.Accusing Congress for adopting ‘Double Standard” on the SYL issue, AAP leaders said while AAP’s National Spokesman Sanjay Singh is sitting in the “Morcha”, Congress National Spokesman Randeep Singh Surjewala has hailed the Supreme Court’s opinion, which went against the interests of Punjab.AAP leaders dared PPCC Chief Captain Amarinder to clarify the stand of his party’s national leadership on the issue, AAP leaders said quipping ,whether Rahul Gandhi is with Punjab or with Haryana on the SYL issue?Other prominent leaders who addressed the “Morcha” include Anu Randhawa, Jagtar Singh Rajla, Dev Mann and Harchand Singh Barsat.
