In cross border firing an Indian Army man was killed while six others were injured in two different sectors of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district. The firing and mortar shelling from Pakistani Rangers also damaged four residential houses in Keran Sector.Defence sources told news agency CNS that an Army man was killed while three others were injured when Pakistani Rangers resorted to indiscriminating firing across the border in Keran Sector. “The soldier was killed when Naga Post in Keran Sector came under attack. The deceased soldier has been identified as Harsh Batoria. Three other soldiers were wounded and evicted from the spot of incident. They have been identified as Gun Operator Manoj Kumar, Naik Sandeep Kumar and S. Badoria.Sources said that four residential houses belonging to Ghulraiz Bhat, Molvi Irfan Joo, Haji Rafiq Ahmed Khan and Nazakat Khan were damaged in the attack.Sources added that three more soldiers were wounded in cross border firing in Furqian Gali of Kupwara sector. The injured identified as Muhammad Ashraf Khan, Ashok Kumar and Tayyib Beigh have been shifted to hospital for advanced treatment. (CNS)
