Prominent Industrialist from Ludhiana Gurmit Singh Kular today assumed the charge as Chairman, Punjab Ramgarhia Welfare Board in the presence of Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal here on Wednesday. Mr. Kular is also President of Federation of Industrial and Commercial Organisation and Chairman of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ludhiana zone.Interacting with media persons, Deputy Chief Minister said he was fully confident that Mr. Kular would play an important role in addressing the issues and challenges being faced by Ramgarhia community.Focusing on the work done by the SAD-BJP government during the last 9 years, Deputy Chief Minister said the SAD-BJP alliance has always believed in positive campaign and 2017 assembly polls would also be contested by the alliance on development agenda. Mr. Badal said that the development initiative taken by Punjab Government in last 9 years were a record in itself as this much had been never achieved in such a short span of time.Making a special mention of the surplus power production, strengthened road network, governance reforms, heritage street and memorials setup by Punjab government including War Heroes memorial, Jang-e-Azadi, Fateh Burj at Chappar Chiri, Virasat-e-Khalsa at Anadpur Sahib and Ghallughara memorials, Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal said that the SAD-BJP government had delivered in every aspect of development, governance and communal harmony.
