Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control Sham Lal Choudhary today chaired a meeting to discuss the issues related to casual, seasonal labourers, ITI workers, need based workers and land donors.The Minister directed the concerned Chief Engineers to prepare a comprehensive list of these workers after removing the discrepancy in number of such workers and work in coordination with Finance Department for formulating a systematic process of disbursing their wages at regular intervals. They were also directed to complete the process of biometric attendance and Aadhaar seeding of details of these workers within stipulated time frame.The Minister also sought details about the vacancy of Gazetted/Non-Gazetted and Class-IV posts in various divisions of the department including vacancies of patwaris in Ravi-Tawi Irrigation Complex (RTIC) and I&FC department.The Minister further directed the Chief Engineers to submit details of vacancies so that they could be forwarded to recruiting agencies for necessary action.

The Minister also sought details of liabilities under Capital & Revenue components of various divisions of the department. He directed the concerned to submit the liability of state and Centrally Sponsored Schemes separately to the Finance Department.Seeking details of pendency of court cases related to various divisions of the department, the Minister directed the PLOs to pursue the matters in the courts properly for smooth functioning of the department.Secretary, PHE, I&FC Department Sanjeev Verma, Additional Secretary, PHE, I&FC Department Mohd Rafi, Director Finance PHE, I&FC Department Mahesh Das, Chief Engineer, PHE Jammu Susheel Aima, Chief Engineer, PHE Kashmir GM Bhat, Chief Engineer, I&FC Jammu Rajeev Gandotra, Chief Engineer, I&FC Kashmir Javed Jafar, Chief Engineer RTIC HC Jerath, Nodal Officer PHE dept Gopal Krishan Sharma and other officers of the department were present in the meeting.
