The district administration Ramban led by the deputy commissioner Mohammad Aijaz today convened a public grievances redressal camp here in Rajgarh area and listened to the problems of the people.District Programme Officer Ashok Pandita, Chief Planning Officer, Uttam Singh, Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, DFO, DSHO, Tehsildars, BDOs were present at the camp.The main grievances raised by the villagers include installation of new transformers, opening of bank branch, provision for lady doctor at PHC, completion of Rajgarh road, shortage of portable drinking water, inclusion under PM Ujjwal Yojana, accommodation and infrastructure for health centres and schools, augmentation of water and power supply and provision of solar lights.The people also demanded construction of 12 km road from Zangaldar to Bartunthata Galdar which shall connect two revered shrines of Peer Baba and popular temple with the roads network giving further boost to the tourism in the district.The people further highlighted the issue of Chakka Bibrota health centre, shortage of posts in various departments, bridge over Nallah at Dandhla Grath and Kumait, eradication of anomalies in ration cards etc.
Responding to the issues, DDC gave necessary instructions to the concerned officers for mitigating the genuine issues besides taking up necessary construction works in the area. He further assured the people that their genuine demands would be redressed on priority basis.The DDC instructed the XEN PMGSY to start the abandoned work on the road from Chanderkote to Rajgarh including other link roads so that people get proper connectivity.Regarding bridges over Nallah, BDO Rajgarh was instructed to take up the work as early as possible on the pattern of one constructed at Chakwa Nallah.The DDC assured the locals that internal arrangement shall be made for filling up of vacancies in education and health centres. He also assured to take up the matter regarding shifting of offices from Doda which fall under the jurisdiction of District Ramban.Officers of ICDS were directed for conducting cluster level meeting with Anganwadi workers as mentioned in their guidelines so that proper supervision and monitoring of the Anganwadi centres and public involvement is ensured on the ground.The DDC also elaborated on the issue of flood compensation and said that genuine damages shall not be ignored by district administration.He further assured the locals that all other grievances shall be resolved in time bound manner.
