The Shiromani Akali Dal president and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister today told the former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to learn from history that traitors of the Sikhs are punished by the quom and forgotten by history. He also described the chit issued by Captain Singh to Jagdish Tytler as “not a clean chit as it is soaked in the blood of thousands of innocent Sikhs.”Mr Badal told Captain Singh to ” stop stabbing the innocent Sikh community in the back in order to please political masters in Delhi only to secure the Congress party’ s Chief Ministerial candidature. I am shocked by your audacious and brazen betrayal of the Sikhs. Just out of your blind political ambitions, you are desperate to remain in the good books of the party High Command that originally ordered the massacre of innocents. Have your Chief Ministerial ambitions turned you so desperate and blind that you are afraid neither of divine judgment nor of the Sikh masses (Sangat)?” asked Mr Sukhbir Singh.Referring to the clean chit issued yet again by Captain Amarinder Singh to Jagdish Tytler in the 1984 massacre of Sikhs case, Mr Sukhbir Singh said “You have become a butt of public ridicule by your keen-ness to issue clean chits to the guilty everywhere. Still, no one will be amused by your latest tantrum. You must realize that your chit issued to Jagdish Tytler is not clean but soaked in the blood of thousands of innocents Sikhs. Please stop playing such cruel jokes on your own community for the sake of your personal ambitions and the whims of your party bosses.” Said Mr Badal.
The Deputy Chief Minister advised Captain Singh “ not be proud of being one of the legendary traitors of the Sikh quom in recorded history. Even at this late stage, there is still time for you to pull back and undertake genuine repentance instead of being proud of standing in the row of community’s traitors,” said the SAD president. Mr. Sukhbir Singh said that he had been surprised also that even two back-to-back defeats had taught nothing to Captain Singh .”These defeats should have taught you that no one can betray the Sikhs and still hope to escape the judgment of the quom and of history.” The Deputy CM expressed “disbelief” over the statement of the former Chief Minister that he needn’t fear anyone including the Sikh masses ‘because God alone will decide if he (Captain Singh) becomes a Chief Minister or not’. Mr Badal said,” You must be the only one living on this planet to believe that even God and the Sikh masses cannot stop your ‘fantasy march’ to the Chief Minister’s chair as long as your political masters are at your back. You seem to believe that the House of Sin (at 10 Jan Path ) is stronger than the House of God and the hearts of millions of Sikh masses . I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw your statement saying that God will make you the CM despite opposition from the quom and, therefore, and you don’t have to oppose Jagdish Tytler even if the entire Sikh community considered him a killer,” said Mr Badal.
The Deputy CM said came down heavily against Captain’s observations that it is not the Sikhs but God who will decide whether he becomes a chief minister or not. “What an outrageous belief and challenge to the Sikhs ! Do you seriously believe, Captain Sahib, that just like you, God will also stand not by the beleaguered Sikh community but by Jagdish Tytler and other killers of thousands of innocent Sikh masses? Are you even in your right state of mind?”, asked Mr Badal. Mr. Sukhbir Singh said that he had been “shocked” also that even two back-to-back defeats had taught nothing to Captain Singh .”These defeats should have taught you that no one can betray the Sikhs and still hope to escape the judgment of the quom and of history. You must be the only one living on this planet to believe that even God and the Sikh masses cannot stop our ‘fantasy march’ to the Chief Minister’s chair as long as your political masters are at your back. You seem to believe that the 10 Jan Path is stronger than the House of God and the hearts of millions of Sikh masses. I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw your statement saying that God will make you the CM and you don’t have to please the Sikhs by opposing Jagdish Tytler even the entire Sikh community considered him a killer,” said Mr Badal.
