Expressing serious concern over the efforts of government to destabilize the peculiar political identity of Kashmir now by using delimitation of assembly constituencies, senior Hurriyat leader and Jammu Kashmir National Front chairman, Nayeem Khan on Friday said that any move to undermine the significance of the Muslim majority areas of the disputed region will be opposed tooth and nail.In a statement issued to KNS, Nayeem said the sole aim of such efforts is to dent the political importance of the historic Kashmir comprising from the banks of river Chenab to Kargil. He added that we warn New Delhi and its local stooges of dire consequences if they tried to even touch the issue.Khan said that it is sheer shamelessness on part of the so called rulers that they beg before people for votes by using Kashmir issue and its resolution and soon after they reach the throne start harming the same people. The so called rulers must keep in mind that they cannot please New Delhi at the cost of the Muslim majority of the state.He added that New Delhi with the help of its local collaborators is hell bent to harm Muslim majority of the state by every means and it has started the process by killing, maiming, jailing and damaging private properties of Kashmiris. It has also opened many fronts against Muslims and has activated fascist RSS goons in Jammu region who day in and day out march on roads brandishing weapons.
Khan said that not allowing Kashmiri Muslims to offer Friday prayers in Jamia Masjid, Srinagar and central mosques of other district headquarters for last 17 weeks now has again proved that the so called government is at war with Muslims.JKNF chief remembered the martyrs of Jammu and all the martyrs of Kashmir who laid their lives for the cause of freedom. He said Hindu fascist forces are at a killing spree since 1947 which is still going on however, these forces have not succeeded in killing the freedom sentiment of the majority people.Khan expressed complete solidarity with the Muslims living in Rajouri, Poonch, Doda, Bhaderwah, Gool Gulabgarh and Kishtwar areas and assured the brethren living in the Jammu areas that their sacrifices will bear fruit sooner or later and then JK Muslims will live a life of dignity and honour. He pledged that any attempt to divide the Muslims of Jammu Kashmir will be opposed tooth and nail.
