Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Capt Amarinder Singh today ridiculed the day dreaming of the Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal over some imaginary survey about the prospects of Congress Lok Sabha candidates in Punjab. He said, it was a deliberate ploy to distort the facts and present a situation quite contrary to what it was in actual.“Everyone in Punjab knows that Congress is going to sweep the parliamentary polls due to the all round failure of this government”, he said, while adding, “in order to pert and deflect the attention Sukhbir got reports published in media to the contrary based on a survey that never took place”. He said, people are still upset that Akalis came to power virtue of a stolen mandate by fraudulent means.Capt Amarinder maintained that the way the way Sukhbir was now gloating over that survey, despite PCC having clarified time and again that there was no such survey, it leaves hardly any doubt that as who was behind the news reports that appeared in the press. He said, since Sukhbir was finding it difficult to get candidates for the parliamentary constituencies particularly like Patiala and Ludhiana, he got the bogus reports published and attributed to some imaginary and fictitious survey so that he may find buyers for his parliamentary tickets. He said, even Navjot Sidhu, the sitting BJP MP from Amritsar had already ran away and was now doing TV serials.  The former Chief Minister said, the things are going to get worse for Sukhbir and his party as the coffers are empty, the employees are not getting salaries, the contractors are not getting paid for the works they have done, farmers are not getting paid on time for their produce and unemployment is at its peak. “The consequences will come out in the parliamentary elections”, he remarked, while adding, “just to deflect the attention and distort the facts Sukhbir got the reports published so that he could gloat over it and convince people to fight on his symbol”.The PCC President wondered whether Sukhbir really knew how to read English, Punjabi or Hindi and if he did he should have learnt that there was no survey conducted by the PCC as the denial came in all the English, Hindi and Punjabi papers published in the region. “Possibly it is Sukhbir himself who got the report published and is now shouting about it from the rooftops”, he remarked.
