BJP leader Prem Kumar on Saturday said Hindus were in danger in Bihar as the state government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is pursuing a policy of appeasement of Muslims for vote-bank politics."Hindus are in danger in Bihar under Nitish Kumar's rule," the Leader of Opposition told media persons in Purnea district. He said Hindus are feeling insecure since they have been made soft target by the state administration. "The Nitish government has targeted people from the majority community to appease another community."Prem Kumar accused the authorities of harassing and torturing members of the Hindu community following communal tension in several districts during Durga Puja. Communal tension was reported in several districts of Bihar following violent clashes during the immersion of Durga idols and Tazia processions last week.In view of the tension, Internet services were suspended and authorities invoked Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, banning gathering of five or more people, in some districts. More than 200 people were arrested.
