Sham Choudhary visits border villages in R S Pura

Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Chaudhary today visited border areas in R S Pura and took stock of the facilities being provided to people in the temporary relief camps.The Minister was accompanied by Sub Divisional Magistrate, R S Pura, Vikas Kundal besides other officers.While chairing a meeting at R S Pura, Sham Choudhary was apprised by the concerned officer regarding various facilities being provided by the administration in the temporary relief camps. He directed the concerned officers to ensure that the people do not suffer on account of any basic service in these camps.

While laying stress for better synergy between different departments, the Minister directed the officers of Health, Police, PDD, PHE, PWD to be at the beck and call of the people in this situation and ensure prompt redressal of issues of the public.The Minister further directed the officers of PDD, OHE, PWD, Health and Animal Husbandry to ensure proper power and water supply, repair of vital roads and availability of medical facilities in case of any causality. Earlier, the Minister accompanied by the senior officers visited border villages of Koru Thana Khurd, Vidhipur Jatan, Kotli Madhiyan and Sahi Kalan.During the visit, Choudhary announced a relief of Rs. 50,000 for the owner of the lost cattle and Rs. 10,000 to that of injured.The Minister was apprised that three temporary relief camps have been established in R S Pura whereas arrangements for 18 camps have been made in Suchetgarh in case of any eventuality.
