Communist Party of India leader Brinda Karat Thursday said India has been suffering from Pakistan phobia and instead of engaging stake-holders in Kashmir, New Delhi has been harping on single word ‘Pakistan’ and blames this country for its own wrong doings in Kashmir.“Who told you India has not achieved or done anything during 100 day strike in Kashmir? India has killed teenagers during these 100 days. It has maimed, arrested and blinded people and this is its biggest achievement,” Karat told Kashmir based news agency CNS over phone from Kolkatta. She said for its own wrongdoings in Kashmir, India has been blaming Pakistan. “India sees Pakistan everywhere. It has been suffering from Pak phobia. It has miserably failed to restore the normalcy in Kashmir and the irony is that it derives pleasure from people’s sufferings in Valley and doesn’t engage the real stake-holders,” Karat said. She castigated Government of Jammu and Kashmir for sacking employees without conducting any departmental inquiry. “As killings and blinding people was not enough that government has now started sacking employees. What kind of law and procedure this incumbent government has been following. Without prior notice or inquiry you are terminating a government employee. This shows government’s bankruptcy and its keenness to add to the woes of the common people in Valley,” she said. (CNS)
