The twin districts of Chenab Valley- Doda and Kishtwar observed a complete shutdown against ‘government sponsored’ RSS rallies and a show of solidarity with Kashmiri people.The call for shutdown was forwarded by Majlis Shoura committee that comprises Imams of various mosques and religious bodies. The religious clerics have alleged that RSS rallies are being carried out with the support of government and the sole objective of these rallies are to incite communal passion and scare Muslim population.All business establishments and schools remained closed while thin attendance was recorded in government offices in Kishtwar district. Skeletal movement of traffic was observed on roads.Majority of towns in the district like Chatroo, Drabshala, Padyarna, Dadpath, Bhunjwah, Sarthal and adjoining Thathri, Bhaderwah towns of Doda district also witnessed complete shutdown against the RSS activities and in support of Kashmir uprising.Bus stand Kishtwar, Old Bus Stand Kishtwar, Malik Market, Sarkoot, Sangrabata, Malipath, link road, Poochal, Bandrina, Hullar, Pohie, Asrariya Road, Bunastan, Guriyan, Tund and all other areas of Kishtwar town and its adjoining areas wore a deserted look due to the strike.
