Aam Aadmi Party on Friday demanded an inquiry by the committee appointed by Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court into the multi Crores SC students fund scam in Punjab. Demanding the inquiry, AAP Punjab Convener, Gurpreet Singh Waraich said that private colleges in the states gulp more than 100 Crores rupee by showing 30,000 fake admissions for the session 2014-15. The money was meant to be for the students related to schedule cast. Waraich said that the scam shows that the authorities were hand in gloves with those who did embezzlement.Accusing Congress in failing to perform the duty of opposition party in Vidhan Sabha, Waraich said that Congress mysteriously kept quiet on the issue related Lakhs of SC students in the state. He said that congress leaders have their own stakes in the Private education Mafia business that prevented them to raise voice against the alleged scam.Waraich said that the scam affected the students related to Schedule Cast to an extent that they could not continue their education. On the other hand private collages got Crores of rupees by showing fake admissions.Waraich said that after the formation of AAP government in Punjab, the rights of SC students will be secured. The government education institutes will be made better then than the private institutes. Private education mafia will be tamed and annual audit will be made compulsory for these institutes. AAP will provide a loan of 10 Lakhs to the meritorious students under higher education guarantee scheme.
