District Administration Ramban, organised a symposium under Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) at Government Degree Collage(GDC) Ramban which was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner , Mohammad Aijaz who was also chief guest on the occasion. Around 15 students participated in the symposium and expressed their views on the topics including “know your booth level officer campaign”, “Special summary revision 2017 as qualifying date 01-01-2017” and “How and where to enrol under Special Summary Revision- 2017”.Speaking on the occasion, the DDC impressed upon the students to become ambassador of this programme and spread the message among their peers and family. He further said that such awareness programme are being organised with an aim to sensitize the people mainly the eligible voters about the importance of their right to vote.He said that all individuals who are above 18 years or turn 18 on January 2017 are eligible to get their names enrolled in the electoral roll. The outstanding speakers and participants were also awarded by the chief guest with prizes.Among other Professor Shah Jahan Ganai, BDO Rajgarh Kuldeep Sharma, Nodal Officer SVEEP Rayaz Ahmed, ENT Hasham Din and other staff members and students attended the function.
