The Chairman Legislative Council, Haji Anayat Ali today reviewed the working of various Department Related Standing Committees (DRSC) and House Committees here at a meeting of the panel heads.The Chairman sought details of the information collected by each committee by holding deliberations with the concerned authorities with regard to the subjects under their examination. The heads of different Committees who attended the meeting include Mr Showkat Hussain Ganai, Mr. Mohammad Muzaffer Parray, S. Charanjeet Singh, Sofi Yousuf, Mr. Firdous Ahmad Tak, Mr G. N. Monga, Mr. Ramesh Arora, Dr. Bashir Ahmad Veeri, Mr. Zafer Iqbal Manhas, and Dr. Shehnaz Ganai.Haji Anayat stressed upon the Heads of the Committees to ensure follow up of the decisions and get these implemented in letter and spirit on the ground.Earlier, the Chairman highlighted the aims and objectives of convening the meeting and get feedback from the Heads of the various Committees.The Committee observed two minute silence over the sad demise of brother of MLC, Ramesh Arora who passed away recently.Senior officials of the Council Secretariat were present in the meeting.
