Punjab BJP activists today burnt effigies of AAP chief and Delhi CM, Arvind Kejriwal in Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Batala, Tarn Taran, Hoshiyarpur, Kapurthala, Faridkot, Mansa, Muktsar, Malot, Mukerian, Patiala, Sangrur, Lehraghaga and various other parts of the state. Shouting slogans against Kejriwal, the activists protested against his recent comments wherein he had questioned the Army’s surgical strikes across the LoC. Accusing Kejriwal of playing politics over the issue, state party secretary, Vineet Joshi stated that while the nation stood behind the Army after the strikes, Kejriwal was busy drawing political mileage.Lambasting Kejriwal, Vineet Joshi said, “The citizens of the country feel safe in the hands of the Army and it is not good to question each and every move of the Army. Instead of believing in the Army, Kejriwal is busy playing the role of a Pakistani spokesperson. We demand that Kejriwal should immediately apologise for hurting the sentiments of the Army and the nation”.
