A meeting of Petition Committee of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council was held under the Chairmanship of MLC, S. Charanjit Singh Khalsa here today to review and discuss the agenda points of the Committee.Legislators, S Dharambir Singh Oberoi, Qairser Jamsheed Lone and Javaid Ahmed Mirchal were also present in the meeting and gave their valuable suggestions for early redressal of pending Petitions filled by the people from time to time.Threadbare discussions were held upon previous petitions received by the Council Secretariat from the people/general public of the state to mitigate their issues regarding different matters through the Petition Committee of Council Secretariat.The Committee also discussed the modalities of new petitions by the general public/people to sort out their grievances and issues through the Petition Committee and in this regard the Council Secretariat will publish notification along with form in local newspapers soon.Among others, Additional Secretariat, Legislative Council, Farooq Ahmed Sheikh besides Officers and Officials of Council Secretariat were also present in the meeting.
