Rural Development Department and Municipal Committee Ramban in coordination with District Administration Ramban today organised cleanliness drive Under “Swatch Bharat Mission” (SBA) to clean Ramban town.The day long sanitation activities drive were initiated by District Development Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Aijaz. ACD, GH Kripak, EO Zubaida Parveen and various district and sectoral officers hundreds of students of Higher Secondary School Ramban, employees and prominent citizens of Ramban participated in the drive.A number of sanitation teams were constituted for cleaning the town besides organising series of activities like sweeping, removing garbage from drains and lifting the same to some far off locations. Various streets, roads, public places etc were cleaned.Speaking on the occasion, the DC exhorted upon the participants to adopt cleanliness culture in their day to day life and keep focus on personal and community hygiene. He asked the officers to expand and intensify the sanitation drive in their respective offices and further to the villages and set an example in this regard. The activities organised in view of sanitation drive evoked keen interest in the locals and onlookers. The general public was educated about need of proper garbage disposal and cleanliness through motivational cleanliness drive.
