Union minister and Bhartiya Janta Party Punjab chief Vijay Sampla has called upon district  units of border-lying areas to jump into action and help local residents evacuating their homes following the threat of attack from Pakistan.Chairing an emergency meeting of the core group and state office bearers at Circuit House in Jalandhar, Sampla asked party workers to ensure every possible help to those being shifted to safer places by the State Government.Sampla said, “BJP leaders and activists should collaborate with the administration in whatever manner possible so that the evacuation process is carried out with ease. Also, it should be ensured that the displaced people do not face any food, shelter and medical-care related problems. It is sad that people in border villages have to leave their ancestral homes and property for their motherland. We should respect their sacrifice. The whole nation is with them in this hour of need. BJP is determined to serve them.”

By conducting the surgical strikes and returning safely, the Indian Army has given a befitting reply to Pakistan and has made the nation proud,” the functionaries said in a joint statement. In the main while State secretary Vineet Joshi said, Owing to the changed circumstances, it was decided to change the venue of the state executive from Pathankot to Chandigarh 2nd October. The meeting was attended by BJP national vice-president Avinash Rai Khanna, leader of BJP legislature party and cabinet minister Bhagat Chunni Lal, former state BJP president and cabinet minister Madan Mohan Mittal, MLA Manoranjan Kalia, former state president Brij Lal Rinwa, former president Rajinder Bhandari, former president and MLA Ashwini Sharma and organization general secretary Dinesh Kumar besides other state functionaries.
