Minister of State for Social Welfare, Health and Medical Education, Housing and Urban Development Ms. Asiea Naqash today paid surprise visit to the Old Secretariat Office Complex and took stock of the functioning of departments under her control.During the surprise visit, the Minister inspected Directorate of Social Welfare, Directorate of Family Welfare, Directorate of Health Services, Drugs and Food Control Organization, JK Social Welfare Board and J&K State Women’s Development Corporation.The Minister went round various sections of offices and checked the attendance register. She directed the concerned Heads to ensure presence of the officials in their respective offices. “Both the Departments viz Social Welfare and Health are directly associated with the common people so the employees of these departments need to be present in the offices for serving the people “she added. The Minister enjoined upon the employees to work with dedication and ensure that the common people visiting these offices should not suffer.Ms Naqash hailed the tireless efforts of the Health department which worked with missionary spirit during unrest in valley.
