Castigating state government for shelving the ever important road project from Mandi to Loran area of Poonch district, Provincial President of Youth National Conference, Ajaz Jan on Wednesday said that government is almost missing in rural pockets and the new initiatives promised by BJP and PDP leaders at the time of polls are still awaited. While interacting with general public in far flung Loran belt during his tour of this belt, Youth NC Provincial President Ajaz Jan in a statement issued to KNS said that many promises were made with people by ruling party leaders who managed to get the votes of public on these promises of new initiatives but everything is same as of earlier."Promises for new initiatives have now become dreams with ruling leaders not even bothering to meet the voters," Jan said adding that state government is almost missing in rural pockets with system running on God's mercy.
While terming the proposed plan of modernising Loran to Mandi road under PMGSY, Jan said that said road project was sanctioned during previous government under keen supervision of than CM Omar Abdullah but the said project is yet to see the day light due to the careless approach followed by present government and a sense of step mother treatment with Loran belt.Jan also said that after Kashmir valley, situation is also turning tense in Chenab valley which is a cause of concern and government should ensure that situation doesn't deteriorate further.Meanwhile during this tour of Poonch and MANDI, locals of the area appraised YNC leaders about the problems being face by them which include missing of government officials from their offices during duty hours.Jan assured the locals that although NC is in opposition but he will meet senior officers of district administration and will apprise them of these problems so that these are solved.
