Giving a big political jolt to Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), renowned Akali leader and Chairman of Market Committee of Dhaliwal, Wazir Singh Lally today joined Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Senior AAP leaders including In-Charge of AAP’s affairs in Punjab, Sanjay Singh, Co-Incharge Jarnail Singh, State Convener Gurpreet Singh Waraich (Ghuggi), State Secretary Gulshan Chhabra, Head of Legal Cell Himmat Singh Shergil, Head of Youth Wing Harjot Singh Bains and Head of Industry & Transport Wing Aman Arora welcomed Wasir Singh Lally in the AAP fold. Hailing the joining of AAP by Wazir Singh Lally, State Convener Gurpreet Ghuggi said that Lally is among a few leaders of SAD, who remained ‘spot-less’ in their entire political career, in spite of being part of ‘corrupt’ regime of Akalis. Apart from Chairman of Marketing Committee of Dhaliwal, Lally was Circle Jathedar of SAD and elected third time as Sarpanch of his village Sandhar. Lally’s wife Prabhjot Kaur is also member of Zila Parishad. On the occasion, Lally said that although he belongs to a traditional Akali family, but he was impressed upon by the neat & clean politics of National Convener of AAP Kejriwal, thus he joined AAP without putting any pre-condition. Along with Lally, Director of Marketing Committee, Dhaliwal, Joga Singh also joined AAP.
