Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) activists on Monday staged protest against continuous unlawful detention of the party chairman, Shabir Ahmad Shah and party leaders in different jails of Jammu and Kashmir.The party activists led a protest in Narkara Gulshanabad area of Budgam district during which slogans against Indian Foreign Minister, Sushma Swaraj and in favor of ‘Azadi’ were raised.The protesters as per DFP spokesman said that the activists while protesting against lawlessness prevailing in the state with military might and police ruling the roost said that “Shah’s detention is unlawful and the justice-loving people of the world must take notice of how human rights are violated in this state.Holding ‘Indian agencies’ responsible for night raids and imposition of draconian laws on youths, the protesters termed these tactics undemocratic and inhuman.
