District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal, Tariq Hussain Ganai today chaired a meeting of officers of Rural Development Department to review the pace of progress of works being executed by the Rural Development Department in the District.Stressing upon the field functionaries for promotion of labour oriented works, the District Development Commissioner directed the concerned for achieving the targets fixed for current fiscal in each sector for the Department. Assistant Commissioner Development gave brief account of achievements registered during the current financial year till date under MGNREGA.The meeting was informed that 458 works have been taken up for execution during the current financial year and the work programme under MGNREGA is being carried out in consultation with the people of the District., adding that funds have not been released under IAY so far.
