Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Mr. Baseer Ahmad Khan today in separate meetings held with officers of district administrations of Pulwama and Shopian reviewed the pace of progress on ongoing developmental works under Capex budget, District/State sector, CSS, BADP and NABARD. The District Development Commissioners of both the districts briefed the Divisional Commissioner through power point presentation about the physical and financial achievements registered in Education, R&B, PMGSY, PDD, Horticulture, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Social Welfare, Health, PHE & Irrigation sectors.The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir directed the Engineering departments and other officers to gear up the pace of developmental works and be ready with plan-B mode for re-appropriation and re-allocation wherever funds could not be utilized. Besides he also stressed upon the concrned to identify works that can be done in Double Shift immediately as soon as the situation improves.
Directing the authorities of Agriculture & Horticulture Departments for reaching out to the farmers and growers in time, the Divisional Commissioner also directed them to ensure cent per cent attendance in their respective offices.The Divisional Commissioner while stressing upon the timely completion of ongoing projects, directed the concerned officers and executing agencies to expedite the pace of work on the projects ensuring their time completion. He said it is the endeavor of the Government to ensure that the people do not face any inconvenience with regard to the availability of essential services. He appreciated the role of the Health Department for their services during the current unrest.The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, ACR and other District & Sectorial Officers of the district administration.
