Chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabir Ahmad Shah on Friday said with the emergence of PDP-BJP coalition government in the State, authorities under the garb of removing encroachments have been dismantling the houses of Muslim families in areas of Pir Panchal, Chenab Valley, Gol Gujral, Kot Bhalwal, and Jammu.In a statement issued to KNS, Shah said such “communal” move is aimed at changing the State’s demography.“Muslims have been living since decades in Sidhra, Bhatinda, Sanjeevani, and other areas but the PDP-BJP government has launched a campaign against Muslim families particularly those residing in Banihal, Doda, Bhaderwah, Kishtwar, Bari Brahmana, Samba, and Rajouri areas of Jammu province,” Shah said.Under the garb of removing encroachments, the residential houses of the Muslim of these areas are dismantled. This is part of a deep conspiracy aimed at changing the State’s demography, he added.Terming the tactic as “agenda of Sangh Parivar”, Shah said this group exploited the PDP-BJP coalition government to secure its vested interests and that the conspiracy of settling the West Pakistan Refugees (WPRs) in Jammu is part of the agenda.
“The motive of these communal forces is to kill two birds with one stone,” he said.Asking the people of the said areas to severely resist the challenges, Shah assured them of full support from the people of Valley. Commenting on the prevailing situation in State, Shah said Kashmir issue is gaining a key attention these days and the need of the hour is to sincerely follow in letter and spirit the protest programme issued by the resistance leadership.“Though we are caged, but we are very well aware of the pain and agony of our people. Our youths deserve all praise for taking forward the ongoing freedom movement despite mass arrests and strict restrictions. We are receiving support from countries like China, Turkey, Italy, OIC, and others and God willing we will achieve our goal very soon,” he said.Shah termed it a “joke” the “propaganda” started by India media that Pakistan is feeling isolated saying India wants its people to live in a fool’s paradise.
