Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal today said India should send out a clear message to Pakistan that it will not allow anyone to create disturbances in either Jammu and Kashmir or Punjab.Talking to the media persons during a Sangat Darshan of Phillaur assembly constituency here, the Deputy Chief Minister said the Punjab Government had already passed inputs regarding activities of ISI to disturb peace in the state to the Union Home Ministry as well as the National Security Advisor. He said “the Nation has a strong Prime Minister in the form of Mr. Narendra Modi , who will give a befitting reply to Pakistan at an appropriate time” .Replying to a question that Punjab Congress president Captain Amrinder Singh had claimed that his party's fight was with AAP, Mr . Badal said "he should first fight and defeat the congressmen to take on SAD as it will be congress vs. congress in the 2017 assembly elections”.
The Deputy Chief Minister also disclosed that the CBI was satisfied with the investigation details submitted by the Punjab Police in the Brig (retd) Jagdish Gagneja case . He said the Punjab Government had requested the Union Home Ministry to speed up investigation in the case.Answering the question about the announcement of SAD candidates , Mr. Badal said the party had already conveyed to 99% candidates about the seats they were to contest on. Taking a dig at different manifestos of AAP , he said "these are only bundle of lies as they have thrown their manifestos of Delhi in the dustbin”. Daring AAP to disclose what promises they had fulfilled in Delhi, Mr Badal said “where were the commandos in Delhi to save women when the capital witnessed the highest crime rate in the nation”.Regarding the announcement of Navjot Singh Sidhu to not form a political party, the Deputy CM said "he is good only in his own field which is comedy". He said whether Sidhu formed a party or not, it would not make any impact on the prospects of the SAD-BJP combine as Sidhu had lost the trust of the people of Punjab by changing his stance on daily basis.
On the allegations made by Congress leader Mr. Sunil Jakhar, Mr. Badal said he was a frustrated man after his removal from leader of Opposition by the Congress and was now issuing irresponsible statements against Akali Dal to make his political existence in the Congress.Earlier addressing the gathering at Sangat Darshan , Mr Badal said Punjab was the only state in the country which had the best Air and Road connectivity besides successful implementation of social welfare schemes like Atta-Dal and Bhagat Puran Singh Sehat Bima Yojna .Deputy Chief Minister also directed the district administration to initiate a special drive to grant Blue cards to remaining eligible people besides giving tube well connections.Later on the new Automated driving test track at Phillaur was also dedicated to people by Deputy Chief Minister which would provide driving licence in within 30 minutes of test.Prominent amongst present on the occasion included incharge of SAD in Phillaur Assembly segment Baldev Singh Khehra , Special Principal Secretary to Deputy CM Manvesh Singh Sidhu , Deputy Commissioner K.K.yadav , ADC Girish Dyalan and SSP Harmohan Singh .
