The defense spokesman on Thursday said that concerted and relentless efforts by the Army are bringing a palpable change in the Valley.In a statement issued to KNS, the defense spokesman said, “Army is taking conscious ‘steps’ to reach out to the Awaam.”“These footprints have become a medium to interact with the village elders, youths and children and assure them of all assistance to restore normalcy in the area and encourage the children to join schools at the earliest,” the statement reads.“Certainly, the presence of Army in our areas is reassuring and instills confidence in us to carry on with our normal lives which have been badly affected due to continuous bandh calls,” has been the common refrain of many people of Shar, Kakapora, Kulgam Khrew, Mandikpal, Konabal, Wahab karan , Hajin and Mukhdamyari where the Army interacted with the people.
