The Shiromani Akali Dal described the decision of former MP Mr. Navjot Singh Sidhu not to form a new party admission of defeat before the polls.In a statement released from the head office here today, the SAD Secretary and Spokesman Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that within days of announcement Mr. Sidhu has understood the ground reality prevailing in the state. Now it has become abundant clear that what to talk of leading a party Mr. Sidhu has started thinking about his own defeat in the coming Vidhan Sabha elections. His announcement to form alliance speaks volumes about his nervousness. Being shying of announcing to join an other party he is trying to confuse the voters with a new alliance which cannot be imagined without forming a political outfit.Dr. Cheema said that one side he was expecting that senior leaders from different political parties will come running to the newly formed Awaz E Punjab but the circumstances have compelled Mr. Sidhu himself to leave Awaz E Punjab and take political shelter somewhere else. Dr. Cheema further said that this behavior of the opposition leaders speaks volumes about the strength and popularity of the Shiromani Akali Dal among the masses and also a clear indication of a win win situation for the SAD-BJP alliance.
