Minister for Information Technology, Technical Education and Youth Services & Sports, Imran Raza Ansari, today felicitated Rajinder Singh, Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh and Kuldeep Handoo for their outstanding achievements in Wushu game.Rajinder Singh won a Silver Medal at the 9th Asian Wushu Championship held in Taiwan whereas Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh won a Silver Medal at the 2016 Masters Challenge Cup held at Macau.The former has previously also won a Bronze Medal at the 5th Pars Cup held in Iran in 2015, whereas the latter has previously also won a Bronze Medal at the 13th World Wushu Championship held in Jakarta in 2015.Kuldeep Handoo accompanied the team as Chief Coach, helping the team to secure nine medals, which is the best performance of Indian Wushu team in the Asian Championship so far.While felicitating the athletes, Ansari congratulated the J&K Wushu Association for the outstanding performances in the international arena and assured all support to the Wushu sports.Secretary Sports Council, Mr. Wahid Parra, was also present during the felicitation ceremony.
