Bali Bhagat distributes Rs 5.64 lakh under Swachh Bharat Mission

Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat, on Thursday distributed Rs. 5.64 lakh among 47 beneficiaries who have constructed their Individual  Household Latrines (IHHL) under Swachh  Bharat Mission during an awareness camp organized by Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department at Mishrawala.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister expressed satisfaction over successful launch of Swachh Bharat Mission in Jammu district particularly in Raipur-Domana constituency. He said 3000 IHHL units have been constructed in the constituency under the Mission, so far. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the Swachh Bharat Mission programme on 2nd October, 2014, with two sub-missions, the Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin and Swachh Bharat Mission Urban.Bali said that it is endeavour of the coalition government to ensure sustained development in every nook and corner of the state, especially the rural areas. 

He said that the initiatives taken up by the government in recent past has started yielding results. He added that it will be his endeavour to ensure overall development of those areas which remained unattended during previous regimes.The Minister, while elaborating on development works taken up in the area, highlighted projects like construction of 100 bedded hospital and Degree College. He said that priority is being given to upgradation of roads, education and power infrastructure which are pre-requisite for development of an area.Later, the Minister visited Government Middle School and PHC Mishriwala.At PHC, the Minister visited dental section, laboratory, emergency ward, x-ray unit, male and female wards etc and directed the doctors and para medical staff to take adequate steps to improve facilities in the emergency ward and provide proper healthcare.
