BJP exhorts workers to reach masses, leave no stone unturned

In a bid to boost the morale of workers ahead of the assembly polls, BJP today held Booth worker conferences throughout the state. Under the leadership of state BJP president, Vijay Sampla these orientation workshops were held to educate and train workers for the upcoming Punjab polls. The BJP leadership wants the message out loud and clear to the workers at the booth level that they leave no stones unturned to ensure that SAD-BJP combine comes into power for the third consecutive time. The workers were briefed about the major achievements of the state government during the past 9 years and how the policies and projects of the SAD-BJP government had changed people’s lives in the state. The leadership also laid stress on the accomplishments of the Modi-led NDA regime at the Centre.  The party workers were exhorted to lift their spirits and ensure that the awareness regarding these developmental works reaches each and every household in the state. BJP’s these co-ordination workshops were held assembly segment-wise in 23 assembly constituencies and district-wise in the remaining places. 

These workshops were held under the leadership of  Cabinet minister Anil Joshi, MP Vinod Khanna and state party secretary Vineet joshi in Pathankot;  Cabinet minister Madan Mohan Mittal and state BJP general secretary Manjeet Singh Rai in Amritsar (Urban);  Bakshi Arora and state party secretary Archna Dutt in Amritsar (Rural);  Chairman Narottam Dev Ratti and BJP Mahila Morcha chief Mona Jaiswal in Bhatinda (Rural); Cabinet minister Anil Joshi and state party deputy chief Anil Sarin in Fazila assembly constituency;   Punjab BJP deputy chief Rakesh Rathour, secretary Vineet Joshi and Vijay Puri in Gurdaspur; Cabinet minister Surjeet Singh Jiani and state party vice-president Harjeet Singh Grewal in Jalandhar(Urban);  MLA Sukhjeet Kaur Shahi and Party treasurer Gurdesh Sharma in Jalandhar (Rural); MLA Seema Kumari and state party secretary Subhash Sharma in Jalandhar (North);  Cabinet minister Madan Mohan Mittal and state party vice-president Smt. Umesh Shakar in Ropar;  Cabinet minister Bhagat Chunni Laal and state party secretary Amandeep Punia in Kapurthala;  Rajya Sabha MP Shwet Malik in Mukerian;  Former minister Baldev Raj Chawla and state party vice-president Rajkumar Paathi in Mohali; Senior party leader Khushwant Rai Giga in Mansa; Senior party leader Shyam Singh Chabbewal and state party secretary Manjeet Singh Rai in Hoshiarpur;  Chairman of Gau Seva Mission, Keemti Lal Bhagat in Faridkot;  Chairman Raghunath Rana and state Yuva Morcha vice-president Anuj Chabria in Fatehgarh Sahib; Senior party leader Reena Jaitley and Ramesh Mishra in Khanna;  Senior party leader Suresh Mahajan and state executive member Jagat Kathuria in Patiala (Urban);  Chairman Dr. Subhash Verma and state executive member Ashok Bharti in Patiala(South); Former deputy mayor Praveen Bansal and Chairman Dayal Sodhi in Sangrur and  Deputy mayor Harinder Kohli and state executive member Dheeraj Kumar Dadahur in Sangrur-2.

Be it a simple party member or a senior leader, the Booth worker conferences were attended by each and every member of the party. BJP leaders stressed on the importance of party workers and exhorted them to preserve the massive goodwill the party had received after the 2014 general elections. The workers were asked to involve the masses and create awareness among them regarding the achievements of the state and centre governments.Ideas were exchanged as to what strategy should be made and implemented keeping in mind the different mindsets and backgrounds of the voters. The party workers were also apprised that the Election Commission had started the revision of electoral rolls and they visit each and every household and ensure that every voter has his/her name registered in the voter list. They were also told to immediately report any discrepancies in the electoral rolls.  The party workers were also cautioned so that they do not fall prey to the vilifying campaigns of the rival parties.BJP National President Amit Shah is also set to attend a summit of booth workers in the month of October and arrangements are being made for his visit.
