Checking Squads inspect Business Establishments, Book Defaulters

The special checking squads comprising  of officers of  Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department Legal Metrology, Drug & Food Control Organization, Revenue and Police Department, inspected several business establishments across Jammu division  and recovered fine to the tune of Rs. 233160 against 1934 inspections in last  four days .The owners of all commercial establishments have been warned not to violate the provisions of Essential Commodities Act and adhere to the norms and rates notified from time to time.  Further, the Department has already established control room and notified its help line numbers alongwith the contact numbers of the Assistant Director of different districts of the Division.  In case of any grievance or complaint the consumers are advised to contact the Directorate of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Jammu through its help line numbers 1800-180-7011 (Toll Free No.) or 2472375.
