Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Ramesh Kumar today convened a meeting of senior officers to discuss the arrangements for Eid-ul-Azha.The DC directed the concerned departments to properly regulate supply of food grains, power and drinking water and launch cleanliness drive around Mosques and places for Eid Prayers.During the also discussed the arrangements for security, traffic regulation and deployment of fire tenders at identified places.
The DC asked the concerned functionaries to ensure that people may not face any inconvenience on account of shortage of basic amenities during the festival.
The meeting decided to deploy adequate number of police and traffic personnel to ensure security around the Mosques and better traffic management to avoid any inconvenience to the devotees. The traffic police was asked to strictly deal with wrong and idle-parking around Mosques.The AD CAPD was directed to stock adequate ration in areas like Bani to avoid for Eid festival.ADC Kathua Dr Bharat Bhushan, AD CAPD Kathua Ajay Salaan, Tehsildar Kathua, XEN PHE, CEO (M.C) Kathua besides other Officers of works and line departments were present in the meeting.
