In order to settle the rehabilitation plan of Dal dwellers, a meeting regarding capping of plots was chaired by Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan here today.The meeting was informed that the plots will be provided against the structures which are to be removed under Dal Development programme and Lakes and Waterways Development programme.Speaking on the occasion, the Divisional Commissioner on said that that the Dal dwellers will be provided plots on the basis of Aadhar Cards issued to them by the Municipal Authorities. The Municipal Authorities were directed to prepare Aadhar Cards of those families whose Adhaar Cards have not been prepared yet.It was given out that the plots have been capped as per the requirements and the convenience of the people being shifted from Dal.
While reviewing the process of removing encroachments in and around Dal, the Divisional Commissioner directed the officers to act tough against the encroachers around the Dal Lake and other places. He stressed on concerned authorities to remove all illegally raised structures and constructions in and around the Dal Lake.He also directed the concerned authorities to maintain vigil to stop illegal ferrying of construction material in the prohibited areas.The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Member Secretary, J&K State Pollution Control Board, Vice Chairman LAWDA, Joint Commissioner SMC, officers of PWD, R&B, I&FC, Tourism, CA&PD, Chief Town Planner besides other officers of concerned departments.
