Teachers’ Day celebrated in Ramban

Birthday of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, was celebrated as Teachers’ Day by the educational institutes across this hilly district. Institutions including Government Degree College Ramban, Government Girls High School, Ramban, Govt. Middle School Dhramkund, Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, High School Ramban, and New Convent Institute Maitra celebrated the day with full fever. The performance of students on stage exclusively for teachers was a memorable one. Students from all classes exhibited their talents as a treat to the teachers. Dance, music, mimicry and skits made the day explicable. The students made great efforts and ensured that teachers enjoy every minute. Followed by the cultural programme, games like musical chair were held for the teachers by the students.An oath was taken by the teachers whole-heartedly which was given by heads of institutions in their respective schools and the same was read out by esteem guests. The oath insisted on quality teaching and developing a student as noble citizen.Meanwhile, Nirvana Academy (A culture club) in collaboration with 109 INF BN (TA) MARATHA LI organised a programme on the occasion at Higher Secondary School Ramban where Brg. KP Sing 11 Sector RR was the chief guest. The Nirvana Academy and 11 Sector RR also honoured ten dedicated teachers from different schools of the district for their extraordinary contribution in the field of teaching.
