Rashtryia Lok Samta Party, Member Parliament from Jahanabad Dr. Arun Kumar today called on Advisor to Chief Minister, Prof. Amitabh Mattoo and discussed various issues related to the State.Dr. Kumar was part of All Party Delegation (APD) which was on a two-day visit to Kashmir.Lauding the efforts of Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti in reaching out to the common masses, Dr Kumar said Ms Mufti’s efforts in bringing peace and normalcy in the state are appreciable.He said entire India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narinder Modi is cooperating with the State Government in dealing with the situation.Dr Arun Kumar, while referring to the earlier collaboration with the Advisor during his tenure as the Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu and Inaugural Director Australia India Institute, said that there should be revival of the earlier initiatives related to higher education.“Professor Amitabh Mattoo who is an internationally acclaimed educationist and expert of international relations can play a vital role for national development and character building of the youth of Jammu and Kashmir and by promoting peace through youth exchange programmes,” he added.Prof Amitabh Mattoo, while interacting with Dr Kumar said that the government of Jammu and Kashmir under the leadership of Mehbooba Mufti is committed for bringing peace and overall development of all the three regions of the state.
