The District Administration Udhampur today finalized arrangements for Eid-ul-Azha here at a meeting of line departments.Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Angrez Singh Rana chaired the meeting whereat the concerned departments were asked to take appropriate steps to ensure availability of water supply, uninterrupted power supply, security and proper cleanliness in and around the various Eid-Gahs and Masjids in the district.The meeting was also informed about the arrangements made for security and regulation of traffic at the Eid-Gahs and Masjids where Eid Namaz would be held.Chief Sheep Husbandry officer and Chief Animal Husbandry Officer were directed to ensure sufficient availability of meat at affordable rates during the festival.AD CAPD along with the Food Safety Officer and Legal Metrology Department were directed to keep a close check on the rates of essential commodities. The Chief Medical officer was directed to provide medicare facility with an ambulance at Eid Gah and Jamia Masjid Udhampur during the festival. Traffic department was directed to deploy adequate number of traffic personnel at traffic jam prone places. The meeting was attended by SDM Dudu Sandesh Kumar Sharma, CEO MC Santosh Kotwal, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Dr. K. L Gupta, AD FCS &CA Harun Naik, Tehsildar Udhampur Dr. Javed Iqbal presidents and members of Masjid Committees besides prominent citizens.
