Commissioner Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department (HUDD), Mr. Hirdesh Kumar Singh today chaired a meeting of officers to review the status of Land Acquisition cases of proposed housing colonies at Thathar Jammu, Batalwallian in Udhampur, Meencharkan in Samba and Tulibal in Sopore. Directing the Land Management Wing of Jammu and Kashmir Housing Board to pursue the Land Acquisition process with the concerned Deputy Commissioners Vigorously, the Commissioner Secretary also asked for expediting the land identification process for development of new Housing Colonies at Rakh Brotian, Dabuj, Sehjada in district Samba, Chowadi in district Jammu.
Reviewing the pace of progress on construction works in Jammu Division, the Commissioner Secretary directed Deputy General Managers concerned to complete the same within the stipulated time frame.While reviewing the flagship scheme “Housing for All” under Pardhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY-Urban), Mr. Singh directed the concerned for preparing DPRs for the town where survey has already been conducted by the M/S COMTECH Institute of Technology in validation by Urban Local Bodies so that provision of shelter to the economically weaker sections of the Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) of PMAY is ensured.Managing Director, J&K Housing Board Ms. Vipra Bhal and other senior officers of the Housing Board attended the meeting.
