Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Niraj Kumar today reviewed the status of Aadhar seeding of beneficiaries covered under different centrally sponsored schemes.Chairing a meeting of senior functionaries of district administration and officers of line departments, the DC took a detailed review of the process and achievements recorded so far.The meeting discussed in detail about the Aadhar seeding of beneficiaries covered under schemes like National Social Assistance programme (NSAP), Marriage Assistant Scheme, NFSA, MMSFES, IAY, MGNREGA (Job card holders) etc.Threadbare discussions were held on various points including implementation of Aasra , Hunar ,Pre-matric and Post-matric Scholarship Scholarship to SC, ST, OBC and students of other economically backward classes.
Besides this, the enrollment of children below 05 years of age under Aadhar was also discussed in the meeting. The DC directed the CDPOs and their supervisors to provide details of such children. For the enrollment of students falling between the age group 5 to 18 years, the DC directed the Education Department to chalk out details of all the left out schools. Social Welfare department was directed to ensure the Aadhar seeding of their beneficiaries. The DC while emphasizing on the universal coverage under Aadhar said that it is very important to link the bank accounts of students and beneficiaries of various schemes with their Aadhar numbers for the effective and transparent implementation of the schemes.The meeting was attended by CPO Rakesh Jamwal, ACR Subhash Dogra, Dy DEO Sapna Kotwal, SDMs of all subdivisions, CEO Udhampur besides other district and block level officers were present in the meeting.
