Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi, on Monday said that Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, during his talk in the monthly radio programme aired on Sunday, called for complete ‘unity and love’ among the Indian political parties and their stooges in Kashmir to crush the ongoing resistance movement.“Modi in this programme used two words ‘ekta aur mamta’. In actuality he meant that all the Indian mainstream politicians and their stooges have to come together to crush the ongoing resistance movement and to extend the illegal occupation of JK as long as they can,” she said in a statement. She said that there was a need to understand these sinister Indian policies. “We must know how Modi was addressing his so-called nationalistic constituency and was calling for a unified policy and counter attack on the resistance movement. This statement also clarifies the fact that it is India’s national policy to continuously keep occupying JK illegally,” she added. “Between these words, Modi has sent a silent message to all his stooges and Indian political spectrum that they, under a well-planned strategy, have to crush this ongoing resistance movement by all means. This is a call for a unified war on the people JK,” she added.

She said that this aggressive tactic, as announced by Modi, has to be countered with equal aggressive measures. “ From the past 52 days we have been unanimously struggling against Indian aggression but the need is the people as well as the leadership further strengthens this unity and gives a befitting reply to Modi,” she said.“The message that we are united to free Kashmir from the illegal Indian occupation must go out loud and clear. There has to be no confusion or ambiguity in it,” she said.Rubbishing the statement by Modi that his government will be spending Rs 2000 crore on the “welfare” of people Azad Kashmir, Andrabi said that Modi should instead spend that money the lakhs of Indian beggars who dot every nook and corner of Kashmir. “ Half of India’s population spend their nights without food on roads, crores of Indians don’t even have a toilet at homes and this man talks about spending money on the ‘welfare’ of people of Azad Kashmir and JK. A sane PM of a country will address issues within his country rather than meddling in affairs of others,” she said.“ People in JK as well as Azad Kashmir are well off and don’t need your (Modi’s) support so better is that India spends this money on those millions of hungry and poor of its population and stops bothering about others,” she said.

She further castigated the state government for the unleashing the reign of terror on the people in the Chenab valley. She said that the slapping of PSA on the leader of Anjuman-e-Islamia, Advocate Hassan Babur, was an act of cowardice. She said that before Babur, a medical student, Rehmatullah, was slapped with PSA and was also brutally tortured in custody. “The unity among people has frustrated the stooges. They are resorting to every cheap tactic to muzzle the voices of the pro-resistance people across JK,”she said. She said that people of the Chenab valley and the Muslim belt in Jammu must know that how grateful people of Kashmir were for their contribution to the resistance movement. “Like us, you too have been suffering, but we must know that together we stand and together we can bring India on its knees,” she said. She urged the people of Doda and others Muslim-dominated regions to religiously follow the pro-resistance programmes until this ongoing resistance movement reaches logical conclusion.
