Terming Unresolved Kashmir a Nuclear Flash Point, Engineer Hilal Ahmad War, Chairman, People’s Political Party (PPP) and Sr. Leader, APHC, said that “Kashmir issue is causing a constant potential threat to Nuclear war hovering over the whole subcontinent which can engulf the whole world at any point of time, and is threat to International peace and security. Therefore, to avoid any likelihood of war, dialogue between the essential parties to the dispute i.e. Kashmiri (the Principal party), India and Pakistan, is imperative”.“India and Pakistan fought almost 4 wars over Kashmir which consumed human lives, huge financial resources and history stands testimony to the fact and finally both the countries came to the table of dialogue. India and Pakistan must take the advantages of the encouraging responses and initiatives from International Community including UN, Civil Society of India and Pakistan to capitalize this atmosphere and take some concrete steps for translating dialogue into a solution”, said War.
War said that people of Kashmir have proved themselves beyond limits –now their voice is heard globally. A spell of sacrifices has awakened the conscious of International Community to the alarming realities. Therefore, leadership is duty bound to strategise the movement by giving movement a direction and to see whether somewhere some changes are required so that it can sustain and give results, the directionless movement can lead us nowhere.Again some pro- India parties with a track record of sabotage and deceit are trying to gain political mileage out of our sacrifices; they shed crocodile tears for their own political ends. Therefore, we will have to be careful and proceed with a deeper sense of responsibility and a higher degree of understanding. (KNS)
